The Builders' Association of India (BAI) was founded in 1941 and has grown to over 220+ centers with about 1,50,000 direct and indirect members. The head office is in Mumbai. The Builders' Association of India Karnataka (Bengaluru) center started in 1980. This center formed the "BAI CONSTRUCTION ACADEMY & RESEARCH TRUST" (BAICART) in the year 2005.
The trust's purpose is to train fresh civil engineering graduates, diploma holders, and other artisans, and subsequently place them in the construction industry to promote quality works of international standards. The core intent of BAICART is to make technical and professional education affordable to everyone at a very reasonable cost.
The institute conducts various courses in the civil engineering discipline. These courses are designed to make trainees industry-ready and help them relate their site learning to the theories learned in class. Those who are already working can also get admission to these courses.
Key programs include:
1.Civil Engineers' Industry Readiness Program: Benefits graduates and diploma holders from the civil engineering stream.
2.Construction Site Safety and Health Supervisors' Program: Candidates who have passed SSLC/10th class can get admission.
3.Construction Site Storekeepers' Training Program: Any graduate is eligible for this program.

from the diversified construction industry and institutions.
